Moderator: robbosmans
hi all
the freehub on my trusty old boras went recently they are from about 2005-2007
i ordered a replacement part fh-buu015 no r2107178 however it does not fit as its not completely round on the inside near the hub the old one is completely round so wont go over a lip that's on the axel
what part number should i be looking for?
thanks

you need to change the spindle as well. see this:

It's a straight swap http://www.bikeman.com/HU9849.html
Use in conjunction with HU9849 (FH-BO001) on hubs/wheels with non-cutout axles (equivalent of Campy # FH-RE415)

There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?
One.
So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...
and if you fix your attitude you can ride along with me.

Not done it personally, but the axle is supposed to be a straight swap for the old one.
Since it's been more than 10 years since the change, you could also look for a "donor" hub for an updated spindle.

Most of the comments above are correct.
You have the first generation (round axle) freehub. You can find any Chorus/record donor hub on Ebay. If the hub is gen2 (3 flat spots on axle), then move both the freehub and the OS axle.
I assume your problem is brearings. Instructions on how to change them is here. http://forums.roadbikereview.com/campag ... 21207.html
Also, see PM

It is an easy swap for the new axle and free hub. I was in the same position and decided to switch rather than look for old parts.

why not just replace the bearings if this is the only parts that failed. that's pretty straight forward.
