Hey guys, so I'm looking at a couple different Scott Addict frames on ebay and have a question. What is the difference between an Addict R1 2010 model and an Addict IMP HMX composite? One auction lists the year but the other does not. I have also seen Addict R3 frames as well. In this particular case, both have the integrated seat mast, and Standard BSA BB, mechanical frames (not for electric shifting). Other than that, is one made better than the other? Is one lighter? I can't seem to find information on their site as they only see to show the most recent model available. Not going to lie, I'm liking the IMP HMX version only because of the color scheme. Not that I really want black and yellow, but my current frame is black and yellow and I may very well be able to swap these out and the wife will never know :)

Tried to add the links but not sure if I did that right but they can but copied and pasted if need be. Thanks in advance folks!

HMX was the tubing modulus designation. HMX being the lighter, HMF was heavier. Both of these appear to be HMX tubing ( look at the seatstay pics ).

These are great frames and give up nothing to the newer stuff!

Up until about 2008, R1 and R2 models were hmx, specced at 790/320g frame/ fork. Others were HMF and around 890/350g.
Up until 2014, only R1 and RC were HMX, but around same weight, just added BB86, some ditched the ISP, and had the Columbia high road paint job.
2014 they introduced the redesign with the 1000g frameset (only on the hmx Sl models), internal cable routing and supposedly more aero frame design.
