How do J&L compare to Dulight (http://www.dulight.fr/en/road/471-titan ... dplay.html) or tuning-pedals (http://www.tuning-pedals.de/epages/6249 ... ducts/1043)? I've heard complaints of some bowties not sitting flush with the pedal body.

I think you have the response few messages above. J&l have problems, dulight none (no idea about the 3rd brand).

I've only used J&L and Toronto but out of those two, J&L worked perfectly whereas I had so many problems with my Toronto bowties.. they even chipped away at the edges. Once I put J&L bowties on them it was perfect. Ended up getting a second set to put them on my other bike too.

I can confirm that the new toronto cycles bowties work. I ordered a set about a week and a half ago for my zeros and they snapped right on with no problems.

Ti Standard length spindles were 67g for the pair
Replacement bowties were 19g for a set of 4
Hardware from Toronto including two spindle locking bolts and the hardware for the bowties was 4g

IMPORTANT: only the titanium plate can be used to lock the cleat
seems silly

Indeed... how the hell do you choose the "good" side to clip speedplays...

The lighter side turns the paddle up so you need to turn it first :)

I would guess it’s a race-day-only combo, similar to the Aero version but for hill climbs. I do wonder how the weight compares to those Aero single-sided pedals.

It seems like if they didn't want you to clip in on that side, they should have not beveled it or not put the lip to catch the spring there.
