Alright
Are there any decent after-market mid-length mech cages which will work with DA9070 mechs?
I was toying with the idea of getting a 30T 9100 cassette, and wanted to get a longer mech cage as a result.
Cheers

K-Edge definitely did retrofit 7970 with long cages (I've got one such 7970 RD as well), which might suggest they have something for 9070 as well, so it might be worth asking.
Minimum bike categories required in the stable:
Aero bike | GC bike | GC rim bike | Climbing bike | Climbing rim bike | Classics bike | Gravel bike | TT bike | Indoors bike

@kode54. Yeah it might work. Might.
@mrlobber. Can't see anything on the k-edge site
@toiyuet. Ha, is that Yumeya, which is made by Shimano?

LOL, now stick it in the big ring, and make a video of you spinning the cranks...

That cage works. And you can buy the cage parts separately if you look up the part numbers.

30T is generally no problem with a 9070 SS.
i came across this item that will allow you to run larger cassettes in the rear with the regular cage on the 9070.
its called the RoadLink.

interestingly enough, it looks like what the newer 9100 or 9150 looks like with the extended hanger mount.

I was going to retrofit the wife's 9070 rear derailleur with the cage from an RD-6870 when I moved her to a 14-28 cassette. I then opted for one of the road links, but also had to put on a new chain as the link effectively increases the spacing which resulted in the chain being short by a link or two. Ultimately, I replaced the both front and rear 9070 derailleurs and shifters with 9150.
