My experience is that seriously light weight finishing kit is not as comfortable to ride as heavier equipment - it often lacks vibration reduction qualities and often offers a hard and harsh ride, it.
Bingo! You hit it on the head. The C60 is a tank and not worth throwing money on weight reduction. It's like putting carbon wheels on an SUV.
I dont agree with u on this. What weight did u consider when u compare the frames weight? The posted weight from the manufacturer or real one? Colnago C60 50S weigh is 1210 gm with Bottom bracket included, headset and seatpost clamp. If u compare for example with Pinarello Dogma F8 frame actual weight, ull realize that they are max 100 gm difference, beside what Pinarello claim for Frame weight of Dogma F8
Reason is claimed weight u see from Pinarello is weight without paint, without any hardware. This is similar on many other brands.
Of course there is lighter frameset like Bianchi Specialissima, and if u go for regular paint and measure it will headset, bottom bracket.. What do u think? What weight difference u'll get in real? 200-250 gm? That's the weight u wont notice in riding conditions, but the C60 will offer much better ride quality in almost every condition.
And since i dont have idea to go for some ridiciolus weight, still it's worth what im doing
(my target is 6800 gm, so need to loose 200 gm).

+1 (except for the carbon handlebars compared to aluminum handlebars)
Yes.. Another thing i want to do is to improve my ride, not just to shave the weight, and also to get better aestethic if possible.
And @TonyM, since u have C60 OFCG and SuperLegerra parts on it. Can u please post few pics to see how they look like on C60?
But lets go step by step. In the moment we solve one step, we'll go another one
1. Handlebar
Why do i want to replace the handlebar?
- Need better shape then my Zipp Service Course SL-80 Handlebar for Campy levers.
I prefer smooth transition from tops to hoods, which im not getting how i like on this handlebar.
Drops are good shape, and i use them a lot. But since i also ride a lot in hoods, i dont like the bump i have from tops to hoods.
- Im using 110mm stem, and this handlebar is 80mm reach/125mm drop.
With this setup i feel that i need a bit longer reach, and a bit deeper drop.
Im trying in this moment with 120mm stem, and seem a bit longer than i want.
So Maybe if i switch to 75 mm reach handlebar, and 120mm stem will get me what i need (i need 5 mm difference from the reach i have now)
Another option is 85mm reach handlebar, and to stay with 110mm stem
- Canceling road buzz
Last weekend i rode 115 km on not so good tarmac road. My hands was numb after two hours, so if i switch to carbon handlebar, i hope to make things more comfortable than it is
- Also want to improve aestethic if possible
So when u realize that i dont want to throw the money just on weight reduction, but also on better ergonomy, its not look that it's waste of money
I will really be thankfull if u help me step by step in this process..
As soon as we solve handlebar, we are moving to other parts
About handlebars i picked:
1. Easton EC90SLX3 - 75mm reach/130mm drop
Price at the moment: 150 Eur (tax included)
Thinking between 44 cm or 42cm
If i go for 42cm version, ill get 42 cm in drops (on my Zipp now i have 44 cm), and 41 cm in hoods (on Zipp now i have 42cm
If i go for 44 cm version, i'll get 44 cm in drops (Zipp have 44 cm drops), and 43 cm in hoods (Zipp have 42 cm )
2. Deda SuperLegerra Handlebar - 75mm reach, 130mm drop
Price at the moment:
Black version - 190 EUR
PolishedBlackOnBlack - 207 EUR
RS Version - 234 EUR
All prices tax included.
If i go 44 cm since it's measured outside-outside, i'll get 42cm both in drops and hoods. Not sure if i need to go narrower then this, since i like to climb a lot
If i go this handlebar, i'll switch to Deda Zero 100 Stem, DarkGray (here not trying to save weight, just to match the handlebar)
3. Alternative is Ritchey Logic EvoCurve, i like that seem that is stiffer (based on reviews), but dont like aesthetic for Colnago. Still function will win over aesthetic if there is big difference with others. And dont like the backward angle of tops.
Price at the moment: 250 eur
Since we are going step by step now
. What handlebar u'll choose from those three and why? Which of this will be best looking on Colnago C60 in MFRD with Bora One 35 Dark Label?
If u go Deda Superleggera, will u go Polished Black on Black, New RS version or Just Black (can someone please tell me what colour are decals on Black color. Are they Dark Gray or White?)
