That's not everything though, for example, the new wheels aren't listed at CRC either.

There's listings for them though:

There does seem to be a massive discount on Campy 11 mechanical stuff on one particular British online store - I wonder if this is an indication of more significant changes on the way?

Which site is that?

That link shows rear mechs (thank you!).

Not wheels though - what new wheels are on the way?

Bora Ultra, Bora One and Shamal discs, as well as new Scirocco rims.

Nothing worth upgrading. They just added some grooves to the braking surface. The grooves are so thin I would not be surprised if they disappear after a few thousand km lol.

Phew, thanks mate.

Doesn't look like the biggest change in the world. My Ultra 35 Tubulars are only ever ridden in the dry, and I'm very happy with the braking currently. I was concerned perhaps there was a hub and/or rim width/profile change which would have been pretty upsetting.

It is called the AC3 brake track and Campagnolo is claiming a 3% improvement in performance in dry conditions and a 43% improvement in wet conditions.

It's all downhill from here, except for the uphills.

The main advantage is maybe some extra discount on the actual models ;-)

Disc model is ugly IMHO with the G3 in front wheel.

I like that Campagnolo continues to innovate on rim braking in addition to introducing hydraulic disc braking. They seem to want to give the consumer the choice between rim brake and disc brake options.

And long may it continue. I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in disc brakes on road bikes, and nor does anyone else I know who races.

Hopefully they introduce new rimbrakes for MY2018, so they are on par with the new DA9100.

Actually, no .... the grooves are a by-product of the AC3 lasering process that removes additional resin from the braking surface. You are quite right in that the grooves (which do indeed wear away in use anyway) have no effect - the AC3 process makes a heck of a difference in wet weather braking though ... in dry, barely any, but a bit ...
