I should be picking up my bike this week. And I have two questions.
Will there be a big difference between the two?
I am offered 6700 calipers for free, so I should just have them installed during the fitting?

6700 calipers weigh 315 on my scale
6800 calipers weigh 340
5800 calipers weigh 390
I found the new dual pivot design of the 5800/6800 brakes to be a noticeable improvement compared to my old 6700 brakes.
I'd expect 4700 design should be similar to the new 105/ultegra design.
So take your pick, improved modulation or about 100g of weight.

Of course I want better modulation with better brakes.
I wouldn't have thought the 6700 calipers would be worse than the 4700. Very interesting

Upon further research
4700- super SLR dual pivot
6700- super SLR dual pivot
5800/6800- SLR EV

So same pivot, so 6700 then?

It's highly likely that the 4700 Tagra uses the partially same tooling as was used to make 5700/6700 (with exception for the gear indexing). So, having the same brake pull ratio as the 6700 levers isn't suprising. I've never really felt much difference though.

Another important consideration between the two designs I think would be longevity / required maintenance. Since in 6700 the pivot is right over the wheel, it is prone to getting clogged up, especially on the rear. The dual pivots, off to the side of the wheel I think are the biggest advantages for the new designs. Otherwise the 4700 and 6700 are very similar and I'd go with 6700 out of the two.

It appears 4700 does not share the new design as the others. I assumed that the "30% better modulation" claimed by shimano indicated the redesign. In that case it's probably a no brainer for 6700

I'd get the Ultegra as well.
