This shell shape doesn't cut or damage my cycling shorts after 200km of riding. I know thats not a lot.

Good news

Today I will try to make a new shell shape. Nicer...:),probably heavier and better.

Second version of the shell. Full lenght, still doesn't finish,a lot of material to cut off,and a bit of polish to shave some extra resin from it,and a bit of gel coat from the bottom.

Weight howed on foto. First "super light" shell weighted 28grams,I think I should drop 5-6 grams.

After cofee I will go and finish it,and will try to glue the rails

The shape on that one looks much better. What is it you use to glue the rails on? A specific resin? Or just something generic?

I hope you could produce one with a rail position similar to Fizik Mistica Regular Kium. Notice the widest point of the saddle relative to the rails.

Guys, this new "shorts friendly"shape saddle weight 65grams,so in my opinion ist very goog weight for full size saddle. The second one is 275mm long and 135mm wide,SI SLR shape.

I'm was working about some process that helps me producing my own carbon rails, but its not that easy.

I cant send you a picture of that, beacouse I have now go a abroad to work (I'm a driver),but meyba,if someone could convert the foto from the scale,I can send him it,and he will put it here.

I'm a user of this forum for a very long time.

I know,there was few users,that shows here their products/components.

Now its time for my first cycling component.

At this time it's a prototype, but if I will be able to produce it for customers (I'm thinking about YOU-forum user, but not only),it shouldnt change a lot (shape/weight). I only need few more rides on it,to find/eliminate any minuses.

But at this moment ecerything works great. Saddle is comfortable,a bit flexy (not stiff as a piece of wood, and not softy as pillow)

Saddle is 250mm long and 135mm wide

Rails are 7x9 full carbon

Shell is made from 200g twill carbon fiber

Still, there is a bid work to do with sand peper, but now I will only focus on testing it (if not personally-working abroad,I will give it to some of my friends)

Saddle is testing by 80kg rider-->me:)

If you have any questions, please ask in this topic,or via PM,I will answer for 100%

Few informations about me:

-I'm 29 years old (I have birthday on March 14 :))
-I'm in love in cycling till I learn fow to ride on it ( I was 11y old :()
-16 years on bike marathons
-100 000+ km riden,97% on terrain,a lot of stuff tested and used.

As you can see,a lot of smiles here, beacouse I'm a happy man...:)

Ready to test some proto types ! :!: :!:

euph, sorry,I forgot to answer your question. I,m using an extra strong glue, but probably final version will have different mount type.

BTW,after I will make more tests, and if everything will be ok,I think I could start producing and selling it.

But with two things you will have to help me:

-the name of the saddle/company
-price

And I could make for example 2-3pcs and send (yes, send) to YOU,and you will test it with me,and write a short review here. In my opinion, users review will be better, than my personal opinion.

Aaaa,I forgot about the smiles-:):):);):):):):)

Agree with most posters here - great job on a first product. The edges do look sharp and the surface finish a bit rough (and potentially tough on the shorts).

When will you share version 2.0? ;)
