Just got a pair of the road version and found out the weight was Image which corresponded to the specs on the manual. What happened to the sub-18g pairs?? Did it gained weight because of failures?

Will get a pair in a couple of days as well, will be able to compare.

However, check this out: http://www.tune.de/en/produkt/zfs, 24g

Then again, bike24, for instance, still has a description of 19g: https://www.bike24.com/1.php?menu=1000% ... oduct=8743

It's still 17.5g on starbike too. I emailed them and they said they/Tune might have sent the wrong item and will check it out when the item is received (I've just returned them)

I bought Tune (road) time trial skewers recently. The road ones are black anodised on the shaft. Mine are pretty much bang on claimed weight. Unfortunately you have the mtb ones based on appearance and weight. Mine:

And here I thought only the aptly-named U20s were under 20.

Those thin end nuts on the skylines make them 135mm, but the thicker ones are for 130 road. Same axle length IIRC.

Those are the MTB ones and that weight is right for the MTB ones.

I thought I checked the manual and it says road version but without a pic of it I could be mistaken. Let's see what Starbike says when they received it or if @mrlobber gives a report here first.

The updated tune website on the skewers does seems to suggest that weight is added to beef it up for different applications. Seems like a streamlining of product range...

Received mine today. All black axle, as in the pic 4ibanez posted. 18g on my kitchen (or bike parts :D) scales.
