Hello,

I am looking at stripping the paint of my cervelo R2 and applying decals and then a gloss clear coat over the top.

Just wondering if someone has done a similar finish and what was the life like for the gloss clear coat long term.
Also any gloss clear coats that i should use or are all brands similar?

Cheers,
JLS

Like this project? http://www.tririg.com/articles.php?id=2 ... _S5_Review I think the finish looks great. I know that it was hand sanded, I asked. I don't know any more about the clear coat other than what is said in the write ups.

I daresay you could ping an e mail to Tri-Rig and ask the questions.

There are 1k and 2k clearcoats
2k is much more durable (2 component coats with hardener or activator)
SprayMax clearcoat in cans, is a popular brand which is widely available

Spraymax 2k is in high-gloss, silk-gloss and matte.
