Tried searching the forums here but couldn't find the answer... Anybody know?
Can't decide between the two for my next project.
I came from '14 SS Evo Red (std Mod with HM fork) so that will be my 'baseline' in terms of ride & handling quality. I expect the new 2017 Evo will be more compliant and sharper handling?

I really dig the new 2017 SS Evo 105 Matt black paint job but if the frameset is heavier than the CAAD12 then i might need to reconsider... Just need someone to confirm if possible?

I know the HM frames are lighter/better etc, but that would be my last resort since I'm hoping to use the savings from a Std-Mod frame for component upgrades instead

Thoughts...?

I don't have a definite answer. The advertised weights for complete bikes of similar spec shows the CAAD12 to be 100-200 grams heavier than the non hi-mod SS Evo. Presumably that is mostly the frameset given spec is the same.
