Hey guys I am in need of assistance regarding S5 sizing, I will be coming into possesion of one soon but need to decide on the sizing, either 51 or 54. I would have though 51 but the lower stack of the newer S5s concerns me abit and im afraid the 51cm might need too many spacers.
In the past ive had
2012 Scott foil 54cm with -17 120mm stem slammed 172.5 cranks
2014 Cervelo P3 51cm with 90mm stem
2011 SL3 Tarmac 52cm with 130mm -6 stem 170 cranks
and a 2012 Venge Pro 52cm 130mm -6 stem 170 cranks
I still have the sl3 and venge and prefer the more aggressive position the smaller frames give me but comparing stack/reach between current bikes and the S5 has confused me abit
I am 175cm tall with a 32" inseam
Im thinking the 51cm S5 with -6 120mm stem should work but Im not totally convinced.
Any help would be great!
Cheers.

Very true, I hadn't considered that. geometry wise it all seems pretty good that a 51 would work I am just abit worried about the stack height being quite low on the new S5's. No bike shops have either a 51 or 54 on display either which doesn't help much :/.

That seatpost makes the specialized one look good
I wouldn't go with the 51

The 51 S5 is 9mm shorter reach and 9mm lower stack than the Venge pro, so you'd need a 140 stem not a 120 to get the length right (assuming similar bar), and an extra 1cm of spacers.

The 54 S5 is very similar to the 54 Foil, just 7mm lower in stack. The same -17 with a 5mm spacer would be about right.

Thanks for the help guys, I didn't notice the reach on the 51 was so much shorter a 140 stem would be abit too extreme for me. That little program you have is great, makes more sense seeing the numbers side by side.
Need to do some more checking before i decide
