I've got small hands and wanted to reduce the reach on my Ultegra 6800 shifters beyond the max 10mm limit.

I'd read that some of the professional woman racers had success replacing the standard Shimano Reach screw with an M4 A2 12mm hex screw, so I ordered some.

Whilst trying to remove the existing Shimano screw the head of the screw broke off.

Looking at the head of the screw it appears to be plastic. Does anyone have any suggestions for removing the body of the screw that's left in the lever?

Fixed this by carefully drilling out the plastic screw. I noticed when you pull the lever back the screw can come out. I've now replaced with M4 12mm screw that brings the lever much closer to the handlebars and helps me when riding in the drops.
