Venge ViAS sram red bottom bracket query

Hi,
My mate is changing his Venge ViAS from di2 to etap and I said I'd do the work for him. The bottom bracket bearings are 30mm with reducers for shimano. I've removed the reducers and fitted the Sram red chainset but there is a large amount of side to side float.
Does anyone know what spacers or setup he requires?
I contacted specialized over a week ago but they haven't responded and sram just sent some generic reply.
Thanks

can't tell from pics and you don't say how much play there is
did you fit...
the bearing shields?
the wide spacer on the drive side?
the preload adjuster is shown hard against the crank, on my (different model) crankset, there's a spacer between adjuster and crank

I'm using the exact same crank on my Vias. You have to dial out the adjuster on the non drive side to take out as much play as you can then just use spacers. I bought a cheap Sram BB just to get the plastic spacers it came with. Throw a couple of those in to take out the remaining play and you're set.

There was no bottom bracket. Just the chainset which I just fitted into the existing bearings. So have no bearing sheilds or spacers.
Can you post a link to the correct kit please

Don't you need something like this on both sides: http://wheelsmfg.com/bb-cup-spacers-for ... frame.html ?
i suggest refer to the diagrams in sram's install instructions to see where the various pieces go, might help identify what's wrong

the bearing outer shields are typically supplied with full bb30 bearing kits, you can see them in this pic (the rings with lettering)...
