Because it's outside-outside, and the real is 38 cm (c-c)

If u go 42 cm c-c (which is some average), it will be at least 255 gm or more

Can some of you fill in the blanks when it comes to c-c (centre to centre), o-o (outer to outer) and lined markings on the bend of the bar to align shifters?
I prefer handlebars lined markings to align shifters and looks like none of these have it.

42cm Ritchey WCS Evo 265 grams. c-c = 41cm, o-o = 42cm. No lined markings to align shifters.
42cm Zipp Service Course Sl-80 264 grams. c-c = 42cm, o-o =?. Lined markings to align shifters? Is this "beyond black" (black logos) version?
42cm Fizik Cyrano R3 Bull 259 grams. c-c =? , o-o =?. No lined markings to align shifters.
42cm Cannondale C1 240 grams. c-c =? , o-o =?. No lined markings to align shifters.
42cm Ritchey WCS evocurve 253 grams. c-c = 42cm, o-o =? No lined markings to align shifters.

42 cm Zipp Service Course SL-80 264 gm, have lined markings to align shifters. C-C in Hoods (42 cm), O-O in Hoods (44 cm), C-C in Drops (44 cm), O-O in drops 46 cm

42 cm Fizik Cyrano R3 Bull 259 gm c-c (42cm) , and there is Lined Markings to Align Shifters.

I'll check o-o for both tommorow, and post u back

I like how Shimano put thought into their products. Not only does it have vertical marking to align shifters but it also has horizontal markings to ensure shifters are perfectly parallel. Looks like Shimano Vibe Sprint handlebar is hefty, close to 300 grams. Pay the weight penalty for it's stiffness due to internal reinforcement ribs for ultimate rigidity.

Yes, the 40cm Syntace CDR 7075 is about 38cm when measured at the brakes, and yes I got them from bike-components.de

These Syntace bars are slightly wider at the brakes than the 44cm Velo-Orange Rando handlebars that measure ~36cm at the brakes.
