Oh my, that is a lovely paint scheme.
Other than the paint and the faux pantograph stem, it is just a C60 though... which is kinda awesome anyway.

Lovely, the perfect spec and a better choice of colour than the original Ottanta IMHO. I'm still not a fan of the faux 'Arabesque' style painted lug effect on the actual lugs but it works better on this than on the C59 version I think. The tapering lines along the main tubes remind me of the late 80s/early 90s Master designs.
A lot of fanfare for.....not a lot.
Yeah nice paint job but.......
Was expecting an updated C60 , direct mount brakes maybe disc, hidden seat clamp kinda thing...somthing forward looking rather than backward faux lugs......
I mean is the older Ottanta a sought out bike?.....nah
Colnago just don't seem to cut it lately....and I'm an owner

Yeah, I expected exactly this... a new paint job on a standard C60. Meh.
But Happy Birthday to Ernesto anyway. Can we have cake now...

Why? The Ottanta was just a special edition paintjob, why did you think this would be any different?
'Cause the C60 is ageing......
Oh and beacause of this pic.....oops it's a Prestige, thought it said prototype on the seat tube, best see an optician quick.....

C59 had a 4 year life, the C61 (or whatever) is probably due spring 2018.
And I'd be surprised if Colnago ditched lugs and cloverleaf tubes for the C60 replacement. Whatever is in that shot is probably a V1r replacement. A top end monocoque equivalent of the C60, now the Concept has taken over the V1r's original aero niche.
It looks lovely. I'm a sucker for a silver Colnago.
I would prefer an horizontal top tube.
You can most likely get it in the sizing of your choice, which would include traditional if you want it. The paint scheme, as with most of the Limited Editions I've seen in the past, doesn't do a whole lot for me. I hope he had a good birthday party.
