I think that was touched on earlier in this thread somewhere, but anyone know what the SL6 10R "Pro" frame weighs compared to the same in the SL5? I've read the new Pro in a 56 is right at 7kg, which isn't any lighter than the SL5 was.
I don't think I've seen a "frame only" weight for the Pro... but my local shop has a complete, built one. I can see if they'll thro it on the scale for me.

Its sort of pointless though.. I think that most in this thread have already established that the new SL6 Tarmac is perhaps a little lighter than the "SL5" but its not life-shatteringly light and no Tarmac has ever been... I don't think the point of the Tarmac has ever been super light.

7kg sounds really light for the Pro. My Pro SL5 with 9070, 1360g wheels, and Zipp carbon cockpit is 7kg. It would have to be a substantially lighter frame considering is Ultegra and 1500g~ wheels.

My S-Works SL5 with Dura-Ace 9000 and 1400g wheels weight 7,1kg complete with pedals, bottlecages and garmin sensors...

Does anyone have pictures of their bikes with alloy or very shallow wheels? I am post carbon when it comes to rim brakes and was wondering how the frames are complimented by shallow alloy wheels.

Viviani on a Tarmac, is the ViAS dead?

I'm wondering will Spesh be offering team replica colourways in the SL6 frame later in the season. Just seen some pics from the TDU and Bora team frame is very tasty, even the QS frame colour is a bit more appealing this season.

Originally announced as a 2016 model in summer 2015, so a new 2019 Venge could be in the works for the TdF.

I mean, Sagan was on a rim brake Vias, so I doubt it.

I really think that a new Shiv TT is in the works, as the current Shiv TT is now super old and isn't even being offered for sale anymore, but I've been saying this for at least the last 2 years. The fact that none of the Specialized teams have a major headline GC guy or even a major TT guy make me wonder how big of a priority it is though.

You can buy a Shiv TT without any problems, it's still offered. Do agree that it might see an overhaul though as its been around for quite some time now. However I can't imagine it being the only newly released bike during a season since TT bikes make up a very small percentage of bike sales.

I just hope there will be a new Venge soon. I like the mindset around the ViAS, but the end result just doesn't really do it for me. There are just too many areas that can be improved on.

As of today it isn't offered on the Specialized B2B. I've been expecting an update for a while but this is pretty well a sure sign that something should be coming. Maybe Giro debut?

This is what i was referencing... the Shiv TT is shown the website, but if you walk into a Specialized store and ask them to order you one, they can't. This was even the case last year... I had a real hard time getting parts.

Finally got the frame I ordered, but I already fall in love with my "transition bike" - Venge Vias Disc, so planning to sell this and stick with the Venge or get a Disc version of SL6.

Frame with hardware weights 900g, that paint job is definitely not light.

Hi,

I notice there a normal version Tarmac SL6 same color frameset as Tarmac SL6 Ultralight which is black with reflective white S-Works word.

Anyone have any idea how to identify or difference between both of them? Visually without actual weight them. Maybe serial number or something....

I getting my Ultralight soon but I worried my LBS got a normal version for me where chances might mistaken as Ultralight version instead.
