I'm looking for some bar tape to do nothing more than add grip to some bare slippery TT bars. Any recommendations?

Self amalgamating tape, stretches very thin

My mechanic uses this to end off bartape because it doesn't end up leaving stickiness all over, is it the same thing? Image

As somebody that plays on the ice quite a bit, I'm not sure of there's a specific brand you'd recommend?

I wrap my sticks with Renfrew friction tape, and it "feels" much heavier than something like the Lizard Skin 1.8mm tape. Might just be my imagination. Also, Renfrew tape tends to retain water a bit more than a synthetic bar tape, so sweat and gunk would make it marginally heavier.

There's been a similar question on here(?) for brake levers IIRC.

Coolest idea there: Clear coat, add sugar, let dry, wash off sugar crystals -> grippy surface!

Drumstick tape or thin racket tape.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jaybird-Mais-Bl ... SwnHZYdZhd this is what i bought, i'm unsure how much the lizard skins weigh but this is just a fabric with adhesive backing 0 padding or anything to them.

I've had a lot of success with the Renfrew friction tape and zefal veloplast cloth.
