Does anyone know of a Computer Mount as the ENVE ALLOY COMPUTER MOUNT, but compatible with an Extralite HyperStem?

Fethas are for M5 bolts. HyperStem uses M4 bolts...
Anyone knows if it will fit reasonably well on a HyperStem faceplate?

Ahhh right yeah. I'm sure they would be happy to supply one drilled clear for M4 if it would actually fit the faceplate.

Thanks for the suggestion, Broady!
I will check the exact faceplate dimensions and try that!

Did you end up going this route? I'm curious as I'm looking to pick up a hyperstem and find a mount like this that works.

Xico, any luck? For the benefit of all here, any chance you could measure the c to c of the faceplate, when used to order these mounts (either from fetha or tillquist)?

Thanks!

It uses (and supplies) M5 bolts, whereas the Extralite uses M4.

You know M4 screws fit through M5 holes just fine right? Just center up, tighten up and go....

These direct-mount systems (like form mount) supply longer replacement bolts, which are M5.

They need to supply replacement bolts because of the additional length needed to affix the mount in between the stem face plate and the bolt.

That's nothing that a trip to the hardware store and $1 won't fix...

That doesn't work either - extralite uses special grade 5 ti bolts, to only be tightened to. 3nm, which seem difficult to track down.

Once I receive my own extralite stem (hopefully today or earlier next week) I'll be diving into this bolt-hunting in earnest. So long as I don't lose interest I'll be sure to post my findings here in for others' future reference.

I've emailed fetha custom mounts as well to see about their thoughts on the M4 bolts, given that they've plastered across the site "works with M5 only". If I can get them to send me the length dimensions of their m5 bolts, i can use that for ordering M4s from somewhere else.

In any event, this is a hell of a lot of work to go through for the slightest of aesthetic changes...

They don't have to be TI bolts. Weight savings will be minimal for M4 bolts. Any bolt you can find will handle 3nm with no problem. Just sayin....
