Uphill hour record?

You could specify a wind speed limit like they do for sprints and jumping events? Still tough to limit the variables though.

Definitely a fun concept and I'd like to see a competition though.
I'm left handed, if that matters.

Don't you mean higher altitude = less air?

No, he means there's less air resistance and less rolling resistance when you're going slower, therefore steeper is better (until you run out of gears).

This sounds like just selecting the best VAM over a given duration from the Strava database.

VN has got to stop writing filler content that is basically conversations they have over beers with their friends.
