There is a huge gap between 15t and 17T  On a 50t chainring, @ 100rpm, you drop from almost 42km/h to 37km/h when going from 15 to 17. With the 16, you still ride at 39km/h. Same with small inclines on the small ring. The gap in km/h is smaller in absolute figures, but in %, the gap is the same, and way to big for most of us to be comfortable.

Ehh, I'm not that fussy with cadence, I have 54-42 53-39 52-36 and 50-34 chainsets with a mix of 11-23 11-25 and 11-28 casettes haha. 5 RPM isn't the end of the world when you can spin anywhere from 40 to 140 RPM to get it done, I'll generally swap between 85 and 105 depending on what gear/speed I'm aiming for so always have a gear that's workable.

Few years ago, i was ridng low cadence style (i guess habbit from my mtb history). But now im more effective, faster when i ride around 90 rpm.

I spend about half of the year doing small ring training. Losing those smaller cogs make the ranges a little less useful and a little more annoying. This is a personal preference, of course.

Because cassettes are wear items, this seems like a rather expensive way to lose very little weight, particularly on a bike that probably isn't heavy to start with.

In this moment Bike is 7160 gm including Carbon Colnago Bottle Cages (two), and including Garming hardware (cadence sensor, speed sensor and cradle front style).

When i'll switch to tubulars Bora One 35 and Vittoria Corsa G+ Tires (25mm), i'll lost 170 gm (from Shamal Ultra + Vittora Latex tubes + Grand Prix 4 Season 25mm tires).

which will be 6990 gm.

To lost another 70 gm, i need to replace my Handlebar (Zipp Service Course SL80 which is 263gm), to something carbon and bellow 200 gm. But this could lead me to flex handlebar (which i hate), and another way of losing this grams are switching my Chorus Cassette to Super Record.

If i do the cassette way , i'll use it on Bora's which i'll use on nice weather riding. So i guess it would last 10000 km. Since i'll have another pair of wheels with Chorus cassette for badweather, this mean i'll have SR around 2 years (im riding between 5000 and 10000 km per year). So even something considered as wear item, it wont wear that soon.

Loosing this 70gm will lead me to 6920 gm total weight. I want to reach 6850 gm, so obviosly i'll have to upgrade both (handlebar and cassette) :) at the end
