Has anyone seen or heard about the new Ritchey pedal?
Claimed to weigh 200g it could be a weenies choice but I've no information about the cleat or release system.

Has anyone heard about or seen the new design?

Brian

IIRC it SPD-R, so a defunct cleat standard.

IMO its not SPD-R , its the SPD. The V4 road pedals use the same cleats as the V4 MTB pedals.

A Mail from Ritchey:

Franz,
We are still waiting for an ETA on the V4 pedals. We hope to have them in stock this spring. You can contact your distributor for more info on delivery times in your area.

Cheers,

Cyco, what do you mean the cleats are defunct?

I'm also really interested in these pedals.

Anyone out there that has some constructive feedback on these pedals?

Light and cheap

thanks guys

The SPD-R cleats will become obsloete as shimano is heading towards SPD-SL. Shimano will have to keep producing them for a while as in most countries the law state that parts must be supplied for a period of time (often 7 years). The reason for the dropping of SPD-R appeared to be the reluctance of othe companies to pick up on it (both shoe and pedal).

The pic posted shows it will be a SPD cleat.
