Hello, long time lurker and absolutely addicted to all of the amazing bikes on here! Ready to build my first custom bike, really want something Italian. I have narrowed it down to the Colnago C60, Bianchi Oltre XR4 and the Bianchi Specialissima. I have been collecting and buying parts as money has allowed and plan to build it with Campy SR EPS V3. All of the parts are here, just need to order frame. So, it is almost impossible to ride any of these bikes in South Carolina and would love unbiased feedback. I ride 100-150 miles a week for exercise and want a fast bike that is compliant. That use to be an oxymoron, but technology has changed all that. So, if anyone would share their thoughts and experiences that would be very helpful! Thank you in advance. :beerchug:

I'd say go with the C60 if you want the best ride (at the expense of weight, since its the heaviest), go with the XR4 if you want an aero bike, or go with the Specialissima if you want a true WW bike as its close to half a pound lighter.

I would go for an XR2 because it looks better than the 4. At that level, all those bikes are going to preform fantastically, might as well make it pretty

Fast and compliant = lugged carbon = C60

My experience is that I prefer lugged carbon over the monocoque framesets.

The C60 comes in more geometry and size options than the others.

If you are like all the riders I happen to know, then you will also probably want to upgrade/change your bike one day despite how much you declare your love for the bike today.........

.....and if so then the C60 will have a better holding value and easier re-sale than the other framesets you have in mind (allowing it's a common size and you keep it in great condition)

I'd also simply go with the C60 for the pure cachet of owning one of these.

Thank you all for your feedback. I pulled the trigger and purchased a 53 Bianchi Specialissima Celeste. I will be posting the build on the Introduce Yourself forum, so look for that in the coming days. :beerchug:
