Hello,

I trying to decide witch new wheels i would buy for my Stainless Bike the Victoire Cycles Veloce Columbus XCR:

viewtopic.php?f=10&t=135477

My corrente LW Gen IV belong to my Moots Vamoots RSL. my weight is 85kg full equipped.

So my Choises are:

OPTION 1 - Venn Rev 507 TUC FW + Cx-ray + Acros Nineteen RD 24/28

OPTION 2 - Bontrager Aeolus 5 Tubular

OPTION 3 - Easton EC90 SL

OPTION 4 - Zipp 303 NSW

OPTION 5 - Schmolke TLO 45 Tubular + Cx-ray + Acros Nineteen RD 24/28

other opinions to consider.

Please help me with some option, about some of the wheels above

You could make it easier to see what you bike you're thinking of putting them on?? :noidea:

A visible pic would be a good start.

My vote is either the Schmolke option or the Eastons as a close second, reasoning:
- I prefer hand build over machine/system wheels every time
- Rarity of the Schmolke
- Aesthetics
- F**k Zipp

I will vote for Zipp 303 NSW; would match the SRAM Red eTap.

I'm going to vote the Venn, mostly because the tech really interests me and I have a set of Venn Alter wheels that I really like. With the Acros hubs these would be a pretty slick wheelset.

I own the Venn 35TCC (built in France by Topwheels) and I love them : they are stiff, better in crosswind than any V-shape rim I owned before, and most of all they look good (I weigh 63kg, hence 35mm, but the 50 look even better)

i'm very inclined to 2 wheelsets, tubular Shimano:

VENN REV 507 TUC 24/28 + Acros Nineteen RD + Sapim CX-Ray - about 1200€, by my counts

Schmolke TLO 45T 24/28 + Acros Nineteen RD + Sapim CX-Ray - about 2000€, by my counts

The Venn will weight about 186g more than the schmolke, but will cost about 800€ more

decisions, decisions!!!!
