Hey,
I am looking into getting another stages power meter, this time for my sram red gxp crankset.
I was wondering if anyone has the weight for the new Stages Carbon Road GXP arm?
The rival arm is practically half the price, so that seems like the logical way to go.
Thanks

+/- 20grams more than your current left side GXP crank arm I suppose.

I think the +20 g. spec means the power meter itself is 20 g. The Stages website doesn't list the weight of the base crank. For sure the crank is not the same as a Sram Red. I'm interested in this option as well as I currently have a Quarq Red and I'm looking at possibly shedding some weight from the current setup.

I found these pics via Google. My stock Red 10-speed 170mm left crank weighs 135 g. If I use the higher weight of the two shown the weight increase is a modest 36 g. The weight saving over my current Quraq Red is 76 g.

I'm curious as well. As i understand there's only one carbon crank for SRAM/BB30? Default is at BB30 where you add an adaptor to fit GXP? Also, the crank arm is still based on the 10s version, not Red 22?

Or have I understood it wrong?

My LBS lists two seperate models for GXP and BB30 so I assume that thre are different models. They also sell various spindles depending on what BB30 sram crank you have.

Does anyone have an idea of how easy the graphics are to remove? I'm not a fan of the "in your face" branding

Wouldn't sanding and respray those arms screw up the base calibration that is done on each individual arm in the factory? (I saw a youtube video on that a time ago).

Sanding the arms shouldn't be issue I did it with mine. All you are sanding off is the clearcoat and decals, not the resin or carbon. Clearcoat is not a structural element.

I have the Sram BB30 arm, and it is the same arm for all Sram "Red, Force, Rival, CX1" Cranks, and FSA 386 EVO. The correct spindle is required for each set of cranks, but it is not compatible with GXP/24mm cranks.

There are gxp and sram bb30/bb386 arms and a specific fsa bb30 arm. All are made by fsa.
