Extralite has been emailing me that their carbon saddle would be ready for production again in a few months.....this has been for the last 3 years!

Here it is. Anyone got it? Are there any tests or feedback about the frame?

Rim brakes only. Exposed cables. Matte black no paint option only. Now I know the traditionalist will say YEAH. But the Specialized Aethos is the same weight as the Extralite. And the Aethos has concealed cables and disc brakes. And has pretty colors. I think the Extralite is a couple years late actually being available to purchase. The Aethos has already delivered the goods to the potential customers for Extralite. If the Extralite was available a few years ago, yeah. But with the Aethos readily available at every Specialized dealer in the world, it comes in at second place at best.

There's no way the cookie cutter Spech with dork discs is the same weight as the Extralite with rim brakes.

?

There are confirmed weights for aethos on 571g frame and 271g on other threads

Extralites webpage says size small is 570g

So... same?

Well, you can go for the 0815 AETHOS, which in the real world is more about 600+
And as you pointed out, maybe the aethos it is the better option. But for an climbing bike and a bit more unique bike the extralite is a nice option.
A frame with real 570g and 270g fork is really light - so if it is stiff an "durable" as well I would go for it.

So somebody allready got it, or knows somebody who owns the extralite..?
