Recently I have bought SiSl2 crank arms to replace my current SI arms on my 2014 HM Synapse.

Well... I am bit disappointed. Before my purchase I have read that both arms weight around 250g (122g for non drive side , and ~128g for Drive side arm). Also some people claimed it on this forum. I also saw some pictures of arms put on scale from r2-bike:

Today I received mine 172.5mm SiSL2 arms and they weigh:

DS: 137g (without lockring)
NDS: 131g

Is it normal...? I wonder these weight differences. Are there any revisions of these arms? Older/newer? I hoped for saving around 80g with sisl2 arms. Now it looks like it will be around 60... :?

Mine that I just took receipt of are 257g for the pair, however, they're 165mm.

Mine are 261g for the pair, 172.5 length too. Not sure where your extra 6g came for but this does seem a reasonable manufacturing variance. The real weight saving on this system is the chainrings and spindle

My 172.5mm NDS SiSL2 arm weighed 129g (removed for stages). Have never weighed the drive side one.

I received mine 172,5mm Hollowgram SiSL2 arms and they weigh:
DS: 137g (without lockring) 140g (with lockring)
NDS: 130g
Spidering: SL 52x36 171g
together: 441g

mine 172,5 Hollowgram Si with 8 arm Spidering 52x36 : 547g

106 g difference is fine :)

That's for the sisl2's. 484 was the total with 34/50 spiderings and bottom bracket

I wonder if the weight differences are because of reported arms cracking issues.

Maybe they were lighten too much and decided to put more material on them. ~15g penalty according to first batch of sisl2. But this are only my guesses

I'm not sure but I have been dealing with the cannondale bonded cranks since 1992 and I have never heard of an issue of them breaking in any way. I have personally had two carbon cranks break where the pedals attach to the crank. Has anybody ever seen a broken Hollowgram?

I've heard of it on the web. I was warned by my lbs if I was looking at sisl2 arms, only to use them for a season. He said he has heard of them snapping in half.
