edit sorry for my mistake: its for 8020 componets. 8070 is not listed yet, so it will take few more months

june is only for mechanical.

yeah, you are right.
Sorry i forgot to double check what i type. Also, Sram offer both 11-25 and 11-26 but i see no point in using 11-25 when 11-26 exist and only differ in last cog.

agree, that's why i only claim this to be true for me (at the moment where i struggle to maintain cadence when shift from 17 to 15 without surging speed of the group. I can do it but it's not ideal.). If i'm a lot faster and not rolling around 16t, the 16t missing would also not quite noticeable either. I'd imagine world tour riders wouldn't mind missing 16t as they normally ride faster than that or at least have power to overcome the missing cog easily without discomfort.

i was aware that rotors could theoretically wear out, but what is the recommendations for when to replace?

1.5mm. Apparently newer shimano rotors Have it printed on them.

In my case XTR rotors lasted around 10k km with sintered braking pads. So the rotors wears out quite fast. And pads lasts around 7k km. Was using it on road bike with 70% flats and 30% hilly terrain and weight around 95-100kg for the most time. Also used maybe 40% of the time for commuting with often braking and stopping for lights..
One of my XTR rotor is right now on 1.3 to 1.35 mm thickness so its getting dangerously close to the point of completely wearing out the steel plates. Also travel of the brake lever is pretty big and brake feels much more mushy then with a new rotors and brake pads.

You are also getting close to the point where the disc doesn't have enough strength left to resist the torque applied during braking.
I'd be swapping before riding again to be honest!
