That's really useful info. Thanks guys.

I think I've finally understood!

So in theory I could run cables from rear mech and battery direct to shifters, but you'd need a cable that is longer than Shimano make.

A bodge around it would be to use EW-JC200 for one cable and the EW-WU111 on the other to effectively work as extenders halfway down the downtube (or wherever).

But what's the point? A SM-JC41 at the bottom bracket allows me to run a single cable up the shifters. Not sure how much the cable weighs, but the JC41 is 3g. The JC200 is 1g. So as long as the etube cable weighs more than 2g, I've saved weight by using the B junction and a single cable.

So that's an easy decision. Rear mech and battery to B junction. B junction to LHS. LHS to RHS. RHS to bar end junction. And then throw in a WU111 somewhere in the handlebars to allow wireless connectivity.

Thanks for all the help. Shimano don't make it easy. And their product naming convention is terrible!

Cheers.

That's how mine is wired. Works well!

Curious...has anyone drilled carbon bars, near the bar-end?

Does anyone know of a list/resource of all the handlebars which can internally route to the RS910?

Does the EW-RS910 also works with the 6870groupset?
I also want to buy the WU111 but have to check the battery. Can I figure out which type battery I have without taking the battery out of the frame? Perhaps by connecting the juction A to the desktop and run the Etube programme?

Sorry for my bad English, I'm from Belgium

Thanks, a internal battery is always BT-DN110 or not?

The only info I can get out the Etube project is SM-BTR2 firmware 3.0.10

So you have an old battery model. See compatibility on page 40.

This battery is not compatible with the new wireless unity EW-WU101 or 111.
You can only use this model of wireless unity "SM-EWW01". It can be easily installed in the handlebar...

Damm, the SM-EWW01 I already have instaled, but I don't think I can connect it to my Smartphone.

The EW-RS910 would work with my "old" battery.
