The PRO looks to be a little too heavy. Have you heard of the Fizik Cyrano R3 bars? They are claimed to be 245g in the 42cm! In the 38cm they would be around 230g.

Always check the actual weight via a scale shot. Claimed weight is useless.

I have Deda Zero100 bars in 44cm and they weigh 252g.

38cm bars (although you need to get 40cm in if you want 38cm centre to centre) will be 15-20g less saving you almost 100g immediately.

What do you think of the stiffness of the Deda bars? Like the weight, but am worried about them being noodley.

Update- I got the Cannondale Si crankset! The hole crankset (without chainrings) is 450g. The SRAM Force without chainrings weighed 520g. The next upgrade will be the bars, going to the Deda Zero100 in 40cm width, wich will save around 100g. And while I'm at it, I'll throw on a Kalloy Uno7 stem.

Thanks, now I'm not sure which one to get. What do you think of the stiffness. I don't want to end up with a noodle that makes the handling odd.

stiffness is absolutely fine, no discernible difference from the Deda model (I am no sprinter though, max power ~1000w)

No problem, I'm 58 kilos and have the upper body strength of a 2 year old. I'm not going to be able to flex either. How similar is the bend of the Deda to a FSA compact bend?

both are a bit deeper. reach is a bit longer on the fizik chameleon than the deda.

I'm thinking so, they're a bit expensive, I'm looking at the Stronglight C2 chainrings.
