Hi guys, Do you know if I csn get a 34 chainring off a 4700 and put it instead of a 39 chainring on a 6800?
Thanks

Aftermarket chainring for 4 bolt shimano pattern shows compatibility with 4700 5800 6800 9000, so I guess the 11 speed 4 bolt chain rings should be interchangeable.

However, even if it fits the crank, the other qn is 53/34 - - > the diff in teeth might be too big for smooth fd shifting?

I ran into a problem on a bike where I was installing new 4700 cranks. To make a long story short, one way to try and solve the problem was to use my 34/50 rings from my 6800 crank instead of the 36/52 4700 rings.
When I install the 6800 rings on the 4700 arm, the thickness of the big ring where it mounts to the crankarm is different. This created a "lip" if you will between the mounting point of the ring and the crankarm. It looked incorrect. It bothered me and I ended up using a different crank with smaller rings to eliminate the issue.
IF you don't care what it looks like, then yes it will physically fit and work. It will just look incorrect.
