ok guys i have some info and here it goes "More rigidly and more aerodynamically it does not go! The crank exceeds the new Dura Ace in things rigidity 2004, by your ingenious building method. Flat building method guarantees best aerodynamics. Ideally for time driving and Triathlon, where it depends on each second. Only ISIS kind of condition suitably. In the following variants with chain sheets available: Lengths 172.5/ 175/ 177.5/ 180mm, 52/42, 52/39, 53/39, 51/39 teeth weight: 630g of inclusive chain sheets and puller" it was in german.
i dont think it includes BB at that weight, but it sure does look cool. The pulsion crank is 460g and 550g for a triple chainring. they say its stiffer than any crank under 500g.

sure they add weight but is it less than a solid FSA or shimano ring?
As for cross winds it would not affect it anywhere near as much as a disk on a TT. or a solid outer ring.

It's just a bunch of marketing hype crap. Like you need the whole friggin crank arm for it to be aero.
Why wouldn't it affect as much as a solid outer chain ring? Theres even more surface area on that crankset because of the huge arms!
Plus I bet it slower then a conventional crankset with a TT ring. The boundry layer is friggin huge, plus the crank arm and chain ring wedge together, probley making more wind resistence, where as on a conventional crankset the arm and chainring flow together, no parallel surfaces making turbulence.
And Joel, you hit the nail on the head, the hole in it makes it even less aero. Marketing crapola is what it is my friend. And it has a bad case of the ULGIES!

i dont think the crank is as ugly as some of you may state - we have to see it on a bike, its stiffer than a DA 04 crank (so they state) its a little bit heavier, but about the same weight as a regular crank with a solid chainring. the crank has a coolness factor to it, i can tell you that. about aerodynamics i dont know, but i know the most areo shape would be a tear drop. i dont see any testing on this crank, so we dont know if its more or less aero than a standard crank with a solid ring.
Only the French could design something sooo F-Ugly. Some French butt monkey is laughing his head off right now. "I know, I'll build the stupidest looking crank, make it out of carbon, call it aero, and see who buys them. Ha.. Ha.. Haa.." Does anyone else get the feeling they are participating in a Monty Python skit.

Points maybe subtracted, up to 250 points, if these cranks a) only fit special super heavy BBs b) break/delaminate soon after installation c) during the coarse of failure cause serious injury d) if all the kids think they are 'cool' e) have the largest recorded q factor. Points will be added if history records these cranks as the worst cycling equipment ever made (100 points). If a single pro rider uses them in the Tour de France (10000 points).
