Am I mad or do Canyon claim 0.79kg for frameset including cockpit? https://www.canyon.com/en/road/ultimate ... nical.html

Unlike everything else, there's no details on the cockpit weight in the stats. Total guess, but I assume it must be in the 250 grams range, surely? i.e. total parts from box is 0.78 + 0.295 + 0.25 = 1.3 kg for frame / fork / cockpit? There's no way it 790 grams for all 3.. unless its filled with helium?!

So they list the frame, fork but not cockpit weight.. odd. So we do assume ~1.35 for the whole package?
Its a strange thing to highlight the frame weight while hiding the fork weight under a tab on their website being that the two are inseparable. i guess its called marketing

790g will be best case unpainted frame

Don't assume 1.3 something. Fork will be 300, plus headset, plus hanger etc etc

Will be north of 1.5kg for most sizes ex seatpost

I don't think they are fooling anyone deliberately... A sub-500g frame will make it a uber-weightweenie frame and they certainly didn't market it as such.
