Hi,

can anybody tell me the real weight of the new c50?

Some people say, the frame weighs exactly the same as the C40 (round about 1200g), others tell me a weight of 1400g only for the frame?

Does anybody has more information?

Thanks
Effe

The real weight should be 1410gr (size 54) :(
http://weightweenies.starbike.com/listi ... roadframes
... I think that this weight is true ...

It's too much heavy!!!

... Here in Italy Colnago C50 kit [Frame (1410gr) +Fork (420gr) +Seatpost (185gr) ] costs 3300 Euro !!!!!!!

In Europe Scott CR1 (only frame) costs 1800-1900 Euro.
... but it weights only 905gr (real weight / size 56).

See this link:

Scott CR1 is the best frame!

Hi Delpi,

I cant believe that the frame is more than 200g heavier than the old model c40?!

I don't like the scott. It looks ugly....

I own a Colnago Dream and the Geometry is perfct. So I want to stay with Colnago.....but I never would buy a carbon-frame with more than 1250g in my size - no way.... :(

thanks

Effe

Depents:
I am agree ... if you want a bike under 6,8 Kg!!

but if you want to respect UCI limit (6,8kg) Colnago C50 is ok.

If you see this link:
http://weightweenies.starbike.com/articles.php?ID=32

The frame is make with Columbus Airplane (= 1400gr)
The fork is a Time full Calbon (>400gr)
The seatpost is a Campagnolo Record (>190gr)
All these components are not too much light but the bike weights 6,8 Kg!!
