Which is better. Kcnc CB4 or CB9?
Moderator: robbosmans
I'm wanting to go with one of these two brake sets, however I can't seem to find any data comparing the two, mainly from the CB9.
Both are the almost same weight, and same price, however it seems the CB9 is newer (correct me if I'm wrong).
Can someone with knowledge of these brakes or experience be able to chime in?
Much appreciated.

Both are stiffer and perform better than the original CB1 brakes. Of the CB4 and CB9 I prefer the CB9 as it has a smoother operation which gives better feedback and feel at the lever.

Thanks for the reply.
Now between ordering the CB9 and Near and Far from your store, which is the winner?
Stopping power is important, but I'm light enough, and a stiff feel is a plus. How would these stack up?
Ill admit, I'm partial to the green CB9 for looks lol.
Thanks in advance.

That's a tough comparison. Kcnc is definitely the stiffer brake (by enough margin that you can feel it in the lever) But at the same time the Far and Near is a smoother operating brake. I think because you said stiffness is important I'd go toward the Kcnc.
Color question. Sometimes it's hard to judge to actual color of a product, esp when so many of the same are shown in different lights.
The green CB9 is what I'm leaning towards, however would you say the color is a light lime green, or describe otherwise?
Again, I ask as I've seen the same kcnc products in so many places and the color range for the same product is vast.
Going either that or black.
Lastly, an WW coupons?
Thanks again

Typically anodized greens run either light (lime) or dark (hunter) The Kcnc doesn't fall into either, it's really a pretty standard green, closer to kelly green than the others.
