I'm very interested in building up a CAAD12 rim brake, however the shape of the fork is really killing me. From specs, it takes 1 1/8 tapered to 1 1/4, 45mm rake fork. Obviously not replaceable with old Evo HM fork (which looks a lot better !!!).
My questions are, has anyone tried swap there CAAD12's fork with aftermarket ones ? Which one are you guys using ? How does it ride and how does it look (the transition between the bottom of the head tube to the fork) ?
Thanks for sharing !!

Not sure I follow.
An aftermarket fork will work in a CAAD12 headtube whether it has integrated crown collet or instead needs to be fitted with a separate collet.
It might be useful to measure the OD of your CAAD12 headtube, at the bottom. This needs to match the OD of the fork at the crown. US company Whiskey Parts do a range of quality aftermarket forks.
