I think that selection is fine. The brakes don't know they don't have "Chorus" logo'd on them.
There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?

One.

So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...

When you really are on a budget, then mix match.
When you can afford, go for a complete Chorus group, you never will regret.

I was under the impression post 2015, all the lower end groups inc chorus, use the same brakeset.

Your impression is wrong.
Chorus, Record and SR were built on the same dna.

I always found it weird that they make an un-grouped generic brakeset:

The finish doesn't look as good as Chorus. They also have Potenza and Veloce branded brakes. Maybe they are Athena? When you look at the Campy web site, the Athena brakes shown just say Campagnolo on them. It's a strange marketing choice.

And Athena? And "Skeleton"?

Differential or not?

Between the retailers and Campy's own literature it's pretty confusing.
