Replace just the brake lever assembly on a di2 shifter?
Moderator: robbosmans
So after getting knocked off the road by a bus a couple weeks ago the brake lever on my left Dura Ace 9070 shifter is all scratched up.
Has any one replaced just the mani lever assembly assembly? (shimano tech docs says the part number is Y6X198010)
Is it a difficult job?
It looks like it might be pretty straight forward but its a bit hard to tell form the tech doc and I've never pulled a shifter lever apart before. half worried all the springs and buttons will fly out and never go back into place. but I've managed most other things as far as bike maintenance and building goes though.
heres the link to the techdoc

I did it, its easy. If your lever ain't broke I wouldn't bother fixing it.
Talk about not cheap...
I got an email back the main Norwegian online shop. Just tye lever assembly is 2000kr. That's 217Euro!!! The same site sells the complete shifter for 2700kr/292 euro.
Guess I can live with some scratches for a while
Thanks for the input guys!
