Also curious, although would prefer to be able to buy just the rims.

Yes, good point. They appear to be a little lighter, wider, and deeper than the DT rim. I just wish you could do a 20/24 spoke count with the new open pro.
I have this wheelset on my new Endurace CF 9.0. I have done 200km with it. So far, I'm satisfied. It's fairly stiff, no brake rub. Brake traction is very good. Plus its tubeless ready and no need for rim tape. Cant wait to setup my tubeless Schwalbe Pro One. The only negative thing is that I cant ride in wet condition because I'm afraid that I might scratch the brake surface.

it's 800 € incl vat in Eu shops... not 1400.
Talking about DT Swiss Dicut 1400 wheelset, not a cost of 1400 for open pro.

Ask your local wheel builder about the new open pro. After that you might want to change to the DT again.
