Yeah they look quite different.
Old ones have a very rough gritty area where the bars clamp on, and a flat top profile. The new ones have no such gritty area at the clamping point and are much rounder on the tops.

Those Italians. Nobody realized that Duracer sounds so much like Dura Ace?
You simple don't know much about coatings.
eg For ages they discuss non-stick coatings for fry pans like Teflon.
The replacement for these group of older non-stick coatings are (Dura) Ceramic coatings.
There are different Ceramic coatings used for different things.
But some random brandnames:
Duramax
Duraslate
Duraceram
DuraCeramic™
DuraCer
You see, Duracer now suddenly doesn't look so odd . . . .
Until the term "Duracer" is introduced to a market where "Dura-Ace" already has significant brand equity.
Doesn't look odd, just dumb.
I just got some from Wiggle. Round tops and rough stemp clamp area. SKU is DDS42BTheDarkInstall wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2017 2:13 pmYeah they look quite different.cadence90 wrote:Is there some way to tell by the graphics which are v.1 and which are v.2?

Are these the dud version?
