I have a Trek 5500 UP Postal series bike. Just finishing my 5th DuraAce gruppo. Time for a new bike I think. Everything has changed now- frames are not really "all around", rather specifically for aero only, or comfort only, or light weight only. Is the 5500 similar in geometry to an Emonda, Domane, or Madone? is it comparable to H2? The Emonda seems too stiff - at least the 700 series carbon. The Madone seems to "race position" for an everyday bike. Domane too upright possibly?
Pinnarelo's are looking sweet, but pricey-
1999 Trek 5500 geometry is similar to what current Trek?

not really tube and lug, quite a lot of bonding? yes. great frames though.
If you want to see 'meh' content of me and my bike you can follow my life in pictures here!'Tape was made to wrap your GF's gifts, NOT hold a freakin tire on.'
1999 Trek.. wanna see it in person.
From what I can tell, its geometry is quite aggressive.
Probably somewhere between H1 and H2.

Whether you'd really want H1 or H2, etc. really depends on how much stem rise and spacers you are running now on your 5500.
The first and easiest thing to do is go to the bike store and do some test rides.
