Team Unibet was officialy sponsored by LW back in the days, they rode with those wheels years in years out.

Milram rode Lightweights one year as well, and the Fakta team rode Lightweights on their Principias. Apparently those Fakta Lightweights were passed along for years afterwards

Interesting that Nibs would ride LW but I never see him on the Corima equivalent.

Anyone know which riders were on them who weren't subject to a sponsorship arrangement (e.g. all Italian team riders)?

Olga Zabelinskaya, both front and rear (silver)

Wow, Tony's looking RIPPED AS. Looks like he's on the Weight Weenies diet.

The LW disc wheel is very handy obviously given the opportunity to get a TT bike's weight down. that is well established pre-Rio of course.

Were there any riders in the road race on LWs (other than the Italians) ... that is much more interesting on performance grounds

BTW, tyre choice was interesting in the TT. Quite a few Conti Comps kicking around by the looks of things.

Good mix of Zipp and Roval as well.

Surprisingly ENVE didn't appear anywhere.

Froome's back wheel in the TT didn't look like a pro disc wheel...it looked like something else with a pro sticker on...dew anyone know anything?
