Hiya,

Contemplating putting a new rear hub on my 'climbing wheelset' for my bike. The hub must have the following characteristics (some 'musts' and some 'desirables')

MUSTS :
* - Shimano 11sp compatible
* - 32 hole
* - centre lock (or centerlock for the Yanks & Euro peeps here)
* - around A$300 or less

DESIREABLES :
+ - Red in colour, black is next option
+ - around the 270g in weight

I have found a few as follows (& their approx Aussie cost and weight) ;

DT Swiss 240 - $340, 233g
DT Swiss 350 - $230, 272g
DT Swiss 190 - $610, 207g :shock:
Shimano XT8000 - $83, 328g - not 11sp capable
White Ind CLD - $440, 266g
AM Classic 225 - $370 + shipping , 225g
Formula CL-135S, $ ??? , 366g
Novatec D772SB-11-CL , $215, 269g

I probably would have taken the Shimano CX75 rear hub, but it's 28 hole only, and my rim is 32 hole. :?

Happy to hear of any other recommendations, options or if you have something suitable lying around.

Thanks

Michael Ba

Thanks savechief,

Any experiences re quality & bearing life ?

Best place to buy them ?

Cheers

Michael B

Update : Found one place, but they seem to be 24/28 hole only, and need 32 hole to match existing carbon hoop :|

And again, in 32 hole for A$125

No first-hand experience with them, but Bitex has a good reputation for quality, inexpensive hubs from what I've read. You can buy them here:
