Greetings!
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I'm currently working on a project that (once cleaned up) might be worthwhile to others, but I have an unanswered question which google doesn't have the answers to.
I know that DI2 uses a 2 cell, 7.4v battery. Typically LiPo or Li-Ion batteries charge to above their rated voltage (typically 4.2v/cell for a 3.7v battery, so 8.4v for a 2 cell DI2 battery).
Anyone out there with a multimeter willing to check and see what the voltage is on a fully charged DI2 battery? Also if possible, what is the charging voltage of a DI2 charger? (I'm betting it's 8.4v, but don't want to start releasing magic smoke).
The larger question here is will a DI2 system run healthy off of an 8.4v battery.
Thanks in advance.
