Let me know if he responds, I have a photo but its not good.

Funny thing is he live in my area and I have seen him a few times but never thought about chasing him down and asking him about it.

EDIT: I don't want to derail this thread so I have continued the TechFlex discussion here.
TechFlex as bar tape experiment

My apologies for taking so long to report back. I finally got around to trying TechFlex as bar tape. This is my first attempt. It will probably have to be redone before it is rideable.

Managed to do it one piece with the clamp screw and cable housings poking out through holes in the TechFlex sleeve.

It shrunk down nicely but it doesn't grip the bar very well. I will probably have to apply a spray adhesive to the bar before slipping the sleeve over.

Not much in the way of weight savings.

If you're going to wrap, cover, or mount anything to the SL70, why not just buy a round bar?

I'll be happy to put the SL70 to good use!

Just to clarify, it is the OP that wanted something grippy for the top of his SL70. I'm just hijacking his thread to talk about the TechFlex stuff that was mentioned a few posts earlier.

Hockey Tape might be grippy enough.
