Any issues with VERY light seat posts and aero wedge seat clamps?

Iv got a Schmolke TLO post on the way and was wondering if there are any issues with wedge seat clamps that only push from one direction, I know the force is then from all around but was just wondering, thanks. The bike in question is a Parlee Altum
