Guys

I am attempting to build a F8 with Di2 groupset by myself in about 2 weeks when the frame will arrive from the dealer.

So far i been told to leave some slack on the shifter wires to the junction box incase the handle bar flex and could dis-connect the connecting wire.

I would like to ask if is there is any important point i need to be careful and note during the installation process.

I have build 2 mechanical groupset so far, all have been learning curve for me, and so far so good on the mech build.

thanks for any help

regards

The extra wire slack should be on the shifters. Now come to think of it the issue isn't so much the bar flex but the lever flex causing a tight cable to disconnect as the wire is usually taped tight to the bar. The point of the disconnect happened at the shifters for me.

The best thing you can do is to have a look at Shimano's official installation docs. Just download it from here: http://si.shimano.com/php/download.php? ... 09-ENG.pdf It will tell you everything you need to know.
