Hello,

what is the widest rim and tire one can fit into the first generation SuperSix Evo frames?

I only found someone with HED Ardennes Plus rims (25mm outer width) and Conti 4000s 25mm and that should already be very tight with only 1mm space left to the chainstays.

Thanks for your experiences!

I can run vittoria 25s on a set of 13mm internal rims, but got a tiny bit of rub running 23s on a set of 17mm internal.

So, it's it's pretty tight in there.

Pacenti sl23 V1 with 23mm Continental gp4000's is about the limit on my 2012 Evo

I think it depends on the frame size as well - I run 28mm GP 4 Seasons during the winter on my Caad10 and EVO, and 25mm Veloflex and Vittorias during summer. Going bigger was never in my mind, but there would be some space on my frames (63cm).

It's a shame - with the "smaller" frames <60cm 26mm real tire width seems to be the maximum. High rims shouldn't be wider than 25mm (or even less), too. :(

They fixed it with the 2016 model, but even the old SuperSix (MY 2011) seems to be fine with 28mm tires.

The wide Zipp 303 were introduced in 2009, so how could that be "forgotten"? :smartass:
