Have test ridden both and mile2424 is right! - the F8 is a much better all-round bike.
The F8 climbs easily, but you don't get the feeling you're losing anything on the flatter sections, as it goes really well there too.
Whereas the VV was a shocker on the climbs, it felt cumbersome and awkward, almost like a TT bike going uphill - but once we got on the flat it got upto and maintained speed really easily
For me personally, I'd go with the F8 over the VV - you could physically feel the difference/enjoyment of the ride on the uphill sections of the F8 over the VV, whilst on the ride itself - but on the flat sections, the enjoyment came when we were back in the workshop and was comparing all the segment times of the VV over the F8
