Descended Black Mountain and Heartbreak with KCNC Ti skewers and kept up with locals on 4 to 5 inch travel bikes. I was on a Hardtail 29er.

Tune AC14 for road vintage lightweight builds with horizontal dropouts :) Can withstand 40mph sprinting

Racing is a three-dimensional high-speed chess game, involving hundreds of pieces on the board.

I'm glad you are sort of ok. Ever since I saw my buddy snap a Sampson crank above the pedal axle and and then go down I've been leery of low production boutique parts in critical areas like skewers, cranks, and stems.

Yeah, I realize that this is weight weenies and lots of folks love those parts and use them to good effect.

Wondering, anybody taking the springs off skewers? Those springs are just for centering both ends and makes it easier to install, right?

My wife just pretends to look interested every time I come up with new ways to drop some weight from my bike.
I appreciate it, the attempts she makes to show interest and my 2 sons just say "that's great dad" I could say anything and they would say "that's great dad"
The fact is. Its a lonely world for us weight weenies

Big fan of the Tune DC14 and the Lightweight skewers that come with their wheels. Forget the actual product name for those.

I have a pair of Tune's on order. Debating if i should change it for the Extralite Streeters. Going to be running a extralite stem, headset, expander, topcap/bolt.

^^ Would like to have them but I just hate those HUGE name brand stamps on their skewers.

The branding doesn't bother me so much. 29g just seems so damm light. Wanna make sure i have enough clamping force.
